Working with water is a form of meditation; it requires to me concentration, forces me to make instant choices, and helps me forget my ego. His liveliness joins that of my spirit and my unconscious is symbolized by him.
I associate water with new ways of thinking, where an authoritarian mode of relationship gives way to common construction. Fertilization is possible thanks to flooding; a renewal is born. These observations are at the origin of my choice of watercolour painted in accordance with the water cycle taking place on my paper.

I write on the surface of the water. I work through signs, they constitute my pictorial writing. It took time and everyday practice to gain flexibility, strength, and energy. The traces come together with fluidity. This imprint of my body and my mental states is unique and belongs to me, is my signature.

Lampblack, ground with glue, according to ancient recipes, is transformed into Indian ink. The diluted ink becomes a wash, it curdles in the water loaded with minerals, thickened by the glue loses its fluidity and can be engraved.
Three entities with their own energy : ink, water and paper combine under my brush. The dance of life begins.
The black of the ink and the white of the paper mean to me the space-time of life. The colour, placed in the middle of this scale, tells of the accumulated experiences and emotions.

Paper is born from water. Water is present as a fundamental ingredient from the manufacture of the pulp until the sheet is obtained. From this genesis comes a great kinship with this vital liquid. Paper lives secretly, breathes, stretches, bends, and speaks. I'm listening to him. I colour him, tear him, glue him, waffle him, wax him, cover him, scratch him, impregnate him. I transform him and he transforms my work.
